About Swabhimaan

Community Awareness & Mobilization

We believe in action at the grassroots level. Our programs are designed to address real-life challenges with sustainable solutions. From setting up adolescent groups to empowering local women’s collectives, our efforts focus on building a strong, aware, and self-reliant society.

SWABHIMAAN is a dedicated non-government, non-profit organization that has been working tirelessly since 8th March 2019 to uplift and empower women, children, and marginalized communities in the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand. Officially registered as a Public Charitable Trust on 23rd May 2019, SWABHIMAAN began with a simple yet powerful belief — that people cannot fight oppression and injustice alone. They need awareness, unity, and support. We operate in both urban and rural areas, engaging with communities to raise awareness, build leadership, and strengthen youth and women's groups as tools of social mobilization.

Rising Together for Equality and Dignity

SWABHIMAAN

SWABHIMAAN is a socially driven non-profit organization committed to empowering the lives of women, children, and underprivileged communities in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. Since 2019, we have been working at the grassroots level to raise awareness, fight injustice, and promote equality through community mobilization and leadership development. Our mission is rooted in the belief that real change comes when people unite, organize, and claim their rights with courage and dignity. We strive to build a society where every voice matters and every life is respected.

Change You Can See and Feel

Over the years, SWABHIMAAN has made a visible difference in the lives of hundreds of families across urban and rural Dhanbad. From helping girls return to school, forming self-help groups for women, to training youth in leadership and rights—our work reflects real, measurable change. We don’t just spread awareness — we inspire action, build confidence, and create opportunities. Our impact is not only in numbers, but in every smile, every empowered voice, and every life touched with dignity.
